On Protecting Life

Bob Casey has been telling voters in Pennsylvania that he is pro-life since the start of his political career way back in 1995. But, somewhere along the line when Bob Casey got to Washington, Casey abandoned his pro-life position and stopped fighting for the most vulnerable. The pro-abortion National Abortion Right Action League (NARAL) scored Casey a perfect 100% on their issues in 2016. This year, Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, gives Bob Casey a 75% rating. Bob Casey has even voted against defunding Planned Parenthood. It’s no wonder that the leading pro-life National Right to Life gave Bob Casey a 0% voting record in 2017. Bob Casey gets passing grades from the pro-abortion crowd in Washington and a failing grade for protecting life here in Pennsylvania.

On Protecting the 2nd Amendment

Bob Casey used to campaign as a pro-gun Democrat. When Bob Casey ran for Governor in 2002, Casey attacked his opponent in the Democratic Primary for supporting stricter gun laws. Bob Casey promised gun owners across Pennsylvania when he ran for re-election for U.S. Senate in 2012 that he would stand with them to protect their 2nd Amendment rights. He even earned a B+ rating from the National Rifle Association (NRA). But, the longer Bob Casey spent in Washington, the more he lost touch with Pennsylvania values. After getting re-elected, Bob Casey went from a 0 to 100% rating from the Brady Campaign, a liberal anti-gun group in Washington. Bob Casey even supports California Liberal Senator Diane Feinstein’s far-reaching bill banning commonly-owned guns.

Obstructing the Supreme Court

Bob Casey has abdicated his constitutional duty to advise and consent nominations to the Supreme Court of the United States. Not only did Bob Casey obstruct the nomination of Neil Gorsuch in 2017, but when Justice Anthony Kennedy resigned in July of 2018, Bob Casey attacked the President’s choice… before the selection was even made! Casey even attacked one of President Trump’s potential nominees, Pennsylvania’s own Judge Thomas Hardiman, despite previously voting for him and calling him “well-qualified.”
