Former mayor and congressman Lou Barletta, leading Republican candidate for governor of Pennsylvania, today announced the formal endorsement of State Senator John DiSanto (R-Dauphin/Perry). DiSanto joins a growing list of prominent Pennsylvania elected officials coalescing behind Barletta's grassroots campaign over the last 48 hours including: Senate Pro Tempore and former gubernatorial candidate Jake Corman, former Congresswoman and gubernatorial candidate Melissa Hart, Congressman Fred Keller, former US Senator Rick Santorum, former governor Mark Schweiker, former Lt. Governor Jim Cawley, Senate Majority Whip John Gordner, Senator Tommy Tomlinson, Senator Bob Mensch, Representative Kurt Masser, and Representative Doyle Heffley, amongst others.
“We have a unique opportunity this year to right the ship in Pennsylvania by electing a governor who will restore common sense to Harrisburg, and it’s clear to me that Lou Barletta is the best candidate to do that," said State Senator John DiSanto. "Anyone can talk about bringing conservative principles to governing, but Lou has the record to back up the campaign promises, and he’s the only one who can actually beat Democrat Josh Shapiro in November. I wholeheartedly endorse Lou Barletta for governor and I encourage all Republicans to rally behind him in the primary on May 17th.”
